Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness

Our breath influences both body and mind

I’ve been studying and practicing yoga, meditation and mindfulness for the past 10 years. I believe that these practices have the capacity to enhance and deepen self-exploration as well as heal past traumatic experiences. Through more awareness of our movements and with regular practice of breath awareness we can awaken to parts of ourselves that we didn’t know were there before.

Meditation is about opening and relaxing with whatever arises, through doing this, we allow our body to feel fully and our mind to heal.

These services are offered to assist each individual in meeting them where they are in their mind-body journey; from being a beginner to yoga practices to specific guided meditations and mindfulness to assist with issues such as anxiety, insomnia, panic attacks and feelings of depression.

“...the two most important phrases in therapy, as in yoga, are “Notice that” and “What happens next?” Once you start approaching your body with curiosity rather than with fear, everything shifts.”

Bessel A. van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma

“Mindfulness not only makes it possible to survey our internal landscape with compassion and curiosity but can also actively steer us in the right direction for self-care.”
